Product design is a complex process, that in short means solving addressed problems in the most aesthetically appealing form.

Each project requires a different approach, however we always base the structure of work on the following scheme.

  1. Project briefing
  2. Shaping the offer
  3. Creating and singing the contract

1. Market analysis of the client’s competition. Development of usage scenarios and user preferences.
2. Creation of a number of different design proposals (the quantity is usually précised in briefing). One of which will be developed in the next stage of the process. Upon clients needs, we might organize a joined workshop with client’s team.
3. Presentation and discussion of prepared ideas. The meeting is aimed to select the most appealing solution, which will be developed in the next stage of the project.

Depending on the needs and briefing the concept might be delivered in the form of hand drawn sketches, written description, maquettes, printouts. Concept sketches are based on final dimensions, and if necessary include market ready parts. Sometimes this stage includes fast sketch CAD modelling or 3d printing allowing the geometry comparison. The conclusions from final presentation allow us to move on to the Advanced model building with determined aesthetics, character and functionality of designed project.

1.Development and detailing of previously chosen concept
2.Presentation meeting and a joined brainstorm

The cycle of iterations might be repeated a number of times, depending on required results.

This phase is aiming to solve the technological and production issues along with the
specialists. It’s mainly developed in the from of CAD models involving NURBS surface modelling software. Starting from the very beginning of the phase, consultations with construction engineers are organized in order to avoid technological flaws. Finished iteration of modelling should be veryfied with a functional prototype. When revision discloses no need for further model adjustments the project is ready for the next stage.

1. If required adding constructing details to the model
2. Preparation of technical specification

The specification might be delivered in a number of surface model formats (.iges .step .stl and others) or 2d drawings upon the client’s needs.

The stage might be run in the form of collaboration with deploying team of constructors by CAD modelling or solely supervising their work.

It’s not like we don’t know how to design other stuff.

Besides our surface shaping formula, we offer a number of varied additional services such as:

Imitation models

Graphic framework for the project: brand identity (logo, print materials, websites, etc.), product renderings, interfaces design, UX, infographics, promotional, and commercial campaigns
